Kim is recognised as one of the world’s best speakers and facilitators on fundraising and has spent 11 years working across the social enterprise, charity and corporate sectors.
Beginning her career in major donor fundraising in 2004 at the NSPCC, she won two internal awards for her contribution to The Full Stop Campaign.
Kim’s major donor work includes:
- Coordinating a committee of 100 high net worth individuals over a two year online and offline project called Dream Auction which raised £3.6million for the NSPCC
- Delivering a £10million event with a major donor in St Petersburg to raise £13million for the NSPCC
- Being brought in by a major donor to help set up their foundation for small charities and distribute nearly £1million of support.
She began training and coaching alongside her fundraising in 2007 and now spends every opportunity bringing fundraisers the latest ideas, inspiring them to deliver more with better techniques. Kim recently worked on the Nesta Open Innovation in Giving Programme, where she helped charities generate ideas to bid for funding. Four of the final nine charities awarded funding were coached by Kim.
Kim’s clients include Christian Aid, The National Trust, Age UK and Royal United Hospital Bath. She is also a lecturer for the Institute of Fundraising’s Diploma, a Fellow of the RSA, Trustee of Sail 4 Cancer and Associate for Open Innovation experts, 100% Open.
